Information for Parents
Home - School Interaction
We believe that good relationships between home and school are at the
heart of providing a good education for your child. We are always
happy to discuss your child's progress or any concerns you may have.
Non urgent matters can be discussed after school and lengthier discussions
are welcomed (by appointment at a time convenient for all concerned).
We have two formal parent consultation evenings, one in October and the
other in March or April. There is an open day when parents are welcome
to visit during the summer term and regular class and school assemblies
(mostly on Friday afternoons at 2.50pm) to which you are warmly invited.
Parents are kept informed by the school notice board, displayed outside
school most days, and a regular fortnightly newsletter. The school
administrator (or a member of staff) are currently available in the school
office from 8.40 am to 3.30 pm each day. The head teacher (who has
a regular teaching commitment) is available most afternoons (mainly after
school hours) and some mornings. Please ask the school administrator
to arrange an appointment with her as required.
We appreciate voluntary help in or out of the classroom. If you
wish to offer help at any time, please let us know. Helpers always
work under the direction of class teachers.
