The School
Welcome from the Headteacher
On behalf of the children, staff and governors I would like to warmly welcome you to our school, where we look forward to a close relationship between home and school to bring about the best possible education for your child.
Babraham is one of the smallest primary school in Cambridgeshire and, we believe, one of the best: one of the joys of a small school is that every child is known and their talents and strengths, whether academic, social, sporting or artistic can be recognised and celebrated. No one is ever overlooked.
Babraham is a school of positive personal development, where the real joy of learning is fostered. We have developed the curriculum so that we are able to extend our creativity and encourage children to take a responsibility for their learning, to be imaginative and apply knowledge and skills in a range of different contexts. Our children are enthusiastic, confident and excellent ambassadors for our school. "By the time they leave Babraham most have developed into young people who are exceedingly well prepared for the next stage of their education and life": Ofsted March 2006.
Our school, only a few miles from Cambridge is set in beautiful countryside. We welcome children to Babraham from a wide area that includes not only our immediate locality but also extends to all parts of the world so we feel we are a global community and we all benefit from understanding different experiences.
We welcome new families to our school and we are always delighted to show parents and children around, for it is by visiting us that you can really appreciate what we offer. If you would like to visit our school, please do get in touch.
